(4/6/20) PROJECT JOY!
We will be posting GOOD things that are happening across the globe, we’ve seen in our friends/neighbors and in our personal lives BECAUSE OF this pandemic! Be on the lookout for things popping up around the clinic and via social media (Facebook, Instagram & Twitter). This is our attempt to be a small beacon of light during these uncertain times and our way of trying to encourage all of you to find the ‘silver linings’ in your lives as well! Let’s make the most of what God has thrown our way and get through this TOGETHER! We love you all and are so grateful we can continue servicing you during these times!
Debi’s Pandemic Silver Lining
“My hubby works on the road and is gone most weeks. He got pulled off road duty, because of COVID-19, and is temporarily working from his local office. This change in his job, along with us living in quarantine when we’re not working, has allowed us to REFRESH our marriage and have FUN together and SUPPORT each other spiritually and emotionally.”

“My daughter is a senior in high school and to say that the end of her year is different than what she thought it would be is an understatement! The silver lining for us is time has slowed down and we are enjoying each other’s company while we can! She has handled the disappoint of all that she is missing with so much maturity and I am just so proud of her! She’s going places…not right now, but soon! 😉”
Travis’s Pandemic Silver Lining
“We are lucky enough that life has slowed down at the most fun & joyous time of our life. Our daughter turns one in a week & we have got to hog her all to ourselves (more than we already do)! The older adults I’ve talked to who have kids that are grown and/or out of the house tell me how much they loved and miss the baby years. So that being said, the silver lining for us has been the extra family time, going on tons of walks together, life slowing down & most of all trying to enjoy every last second of these moments that we will cherish for the rest of our lives! We love our peanut ❤️”

General things to keep in mind and some general positive outcomes from all of this!
– Let’s think of this as a time of “physical” distancing, not “social” distancing
– Social distancing does not = social isolation
– People are making efforts to support local businesses
– Call for prayer & unity
– Moments of quiet helping us acknowledge the things that matter most
– People sharing the good news of Hope through Jesus Christ
“Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life” (Psalm 143:8)

Dr. Alex’s Pandemic Silver Lining
“Obviously what we are valuing more during our quarantine is our families. Thinking about this I wanted to step back and look in from the outside to get a clear picture of what I am most thankful for.
I was never built to be an educator to my kids, it’s not my gift. But it is my mother in law’s. I valued her before, but even more-so now. Seeing the beauty of her helping home-school our kids has been a blessing to our family. They need the stability more than anything as Luke and I are still working full time, and she is helping hold down the fort with grace and patience! God bless this woman!”

Psalm 46:10 “Be still and know that I am God.”
Since I was a little boy, this has been one of my favorite Bible verses. In just 8 short words, this verse reminds us of the LOVE, the POWER and the PEACE we find in GOD. Many of us are confused, stressed, frustrated and angry with life right now. In our imperfect minds, we want to figure it all out, we want to fix it, we want to manipulate whatever we can to feel like we have some sort of control over this situation…but God reminds us that sometimes our greatest action step is to simply BE STILL…simply let God BE the almighty God that He is.
My Silver Lining in this situation is this: God has gotten our attention. We’ve been reminded that we cannot put our faith in a 401K, in a stock, in a house, in a job, in a business or in a paycheck. In a moment’s notice, all of this can be taken away…Because he loves us SO much, God will always find a way to get our attention, to bring us back to Him…But here’s the best part: ‘we know that all things work together for good to those who love Him’ (Romans 8:28). Remember, God is DOING something through this…and no matter how bleak it may look at times…he has promised to make it all work together for our GOOD…IF we love and trust in Him.
